What does “private university” mean?

Silk Road University of Applied Sciences is a private university whose programs of study are accredited but not financed by the state. That is why we have to charge a fee for the course of study. In the dual study model of Silk Road University, these tuition fees are usually taken over by the company for the students and remuneration for internships is also paid to a certain extent.  

How does studying at Silk Road University actually work?

You can choose the programme that is most appealing to your respective stage of life and custom design it depending on the form of study that best suits you. In general, there are four forms of study available: In distance learning, you can study 100% online, regardless of the time and place, and without any mandatory attendance requirements. With myStudies, you choose whether you want to study on campus or online. Another alternative is our dual studies programme, in which you spend about half of your time in a company and the rest of the time on campus.   

What learning materials will I receive from the Silk Road University ?

We put a great emphasis on interactivity. For this purpose, in addition to the scripted study materials, we will provide you with numerous online learning materials. These include, for example, digital study scripts as PDFs as well as interactive e-book versions in our learning app Platform, self-tests, learning videos and, in selected courses, tutorials, revision sessions or interactive teaching events.. Furthermore, you can exchange knowledge with other students via our virtual campus and also consult with your academic supervisors at any time. 

Courses, what courses are available for bachelors, masters and doctors, how long they last, in what language. Which courses are included in which faculty? 

We have bachelor’s and master’s programs. 30 course areas are taught in 8 directions. Bachelor’s academic year is 4 and Master’s is 2 years. The language of instruction is English, Russian, and Uzbek. 

Visa, everything about how foreign students can get a visa to Uzbekistan ?

You will present the documents provided by the university to the embassy in your home country and fill in the necessary documents during the interview. 

About online education, how it works for you, what programs you use, what courses you can study online? 

In our university, online processes are carried out through the Moodle program. This program has a platform and evaluates the results of the students based on the performance of the tasks.

About the university as much as possible, how old is it, what city is it in, address ?

Our university was established 2 years ago and is located in the city of Chirchik, Uzbekistan.

About whether it is possible to transfer from another university to yours and how to do it, transfer program ? 

Depending on the faculties of our university, there is a possibility to transfer to other universities, mainly within Uzbekistan there are more transfers. 

Maximum information about the university building, what is there, computers, laboratories, library and all that ? 

Our university has libraries, computer labs, Psychology training rooms, Canteen, Med point room, Gyms, Entertainment rooms and other rooms. All conditions for studying are created here.
